Product Design
The product design process is a vital stage in the production of any product. We work with independent Product Design agencies that do not only work within the Plastics industry, but they are able to design for manufacture in any material that is right for your project. Therefore, if your project requires multiple metals, electronics etc, this can all be catered for.
We use this independent route in preference to employing our own in house designers as we feel this gives our clients the best possible options for their products and components, rather that purely designing for plastics.
The level of attention to detail is immense. The designers are not prepared to compromise on the quality of your finished product, therefore we need to know that it can be manufactured, and manufactured to the high standards we employ. Our external team of qualified Product Designers talk to you through every step of the design process to ensure that the design best represents your ideas for the product. They are there to make sure that not only the look and feel are right for you, but also the durability is right for your product and the environment it is designed to be used in.
The design staff are fully equipped with the latest software. A range of time compression services including surface digitizing, rapid prototype build and CNC machining alongside traditional model making are offered.
As product designers, they are able to supply accurate drawings, and even a 3D representation of your product produced.
Mould Tooling
Once your product design has been finalised to your complete satisfaction, it is then time to manufacture your plastic injection moulding tool. Dependent on the requirements of your project, our team will design and manufacture the best injection moulding tool suited to your product design and production requirements.

Plastic Vacuum Forming
Vacuum Forming
The MMET have been experts in vacuum forming and all of it's various methods for. We are able to manufacture vacuum formings in any extruded plastic up to 10mm thick, in any colour.
Process
Plastic Vacuum forming is where a flat sheet of extruded plastic is heated until pliable, it is then allowed to shape by applying a vacuum. Once the forming has been cooled and hardened once again, you are able then to trim the part to the desired profile. The limitations of vacuum forming are that undercuts are not normally possible and a degree of taper on any vertical face is usually warranted.
